Jesus Is Coming Back

Good afternoon, hey y'all! Jesus IS coming BACK! In Mark 13 Jesus tells His disciples and us what's to come. He doesn't say when, because we aren't to know when.

Humble beginnings

So God reminded me today that the fact that I came from humble beginnings, made me who I am today. Jesus came from humble beginnings and He saved us from death and sin. We are where we are in our walk in life is because either we chose that path or we chose God. If we choose God even the most difficult paths in life will be easier because He's there with us!

Different Paths

I have learned that we each grow at a different pace in our walks with Christ. Just like children learn differently. Some learn by hearing, others by reading, maybe by seeing or doing. As the family of God we make a whole , as would seven siblings and their parents make a whole. Each person in that family is individually made beautifully by God and walk their road at a different pace.. As God's children we each are on a different path, but should be striving for the same purpose. While we think about that, let's remember that we are each convicted on that walk of different things at different times. God may be pricking your heart about being judgmental, and your spouses heart about being obedient to God. We shouldn't expect others to be at the same place in their journey as we are,

Ask Seek Give Receive

Most times we think of this scripture " Matthew 7:7:-11" as an open opportunity to ask for whatever we want like Jesus is Santa Claus. I know a young boy who asked his parents for a bicycle for Christmas. You may say " what's wrong with that?" Well this young boy already has a bicycle he doesn't use and has been raining terror on his family. Now if your child was disobedient would you turn around and reward him/her. God chooses to bless us daily in spite of our lack of obedience. However, He may not bless us in the fullness that He wants to, because of our unwillingness to follow His will. We don't hold our love back from our children when they're acting up, nor do we cease to provide for them. Our heavenly Father will continue to love us and provide for us, no matter our behavior. At the same time, is it right for us to hold out our hands asking for everything we want, when we're not giving Him what He wants? If we knock at God's door He will answer; if we call on Him, He will reply. Keep in mind, He answers in His way and His time. He also answers with what's best for us, even when the reply is no. God wants to supply our every need and help us . We must first be willing to receive it. If we close ourselves down to Him and His possibilities, we tie God's hands. Open yourself up to the amazing peace, comfort and boundless blessings of our Savior. What do you have to loose ( anger, resentment, loneliness, emptiness, sorrow, worry, fear)? #fearnot #knock #receive #seek #find #freedom

His Will Be Done

Do you ever find yourself asking God why? I think we all have at sometime in our lives. If we stop and think about it, we will see that the why isn't always relevant at the time. God has a purpose and a plan for everything we go through, weather trial or celebration. He has it all mapped out and knows what it will take before we get there. The best thing for us to do is say "Yes Lord, Your Will Be Done". His will is going to carry out no matter if we're willing or not. Imagine how much growth and peace we will experience if we just except and submit! We carry so much baggage around, holding on to worries and why's. There's so much freedom in just letting go and letting God! John 3:16 tells us that God provided His only Son so that we could have freedom from sin. So, why would He want us in bondage to it after such a gracious sacrifice? #letgoandletGod #letfreedomcome#freefrombondage#Hiswillbedone.

Sewing and Growing

We sew and we grow if we are a child of God. Someone was sewing when we received the gospel seed. When you excepted that seed and decided to follow Christ, were you fertile ground. What I'm asking is, Did the seed take and grow? When we plant seeds of flowers or vegetables we want them to grow. You wouldn't just take and throw them in a pond and expect them to grow, nor in a dry patch of bryers. When cultivating we take time and prep the soik, water it, weed it and feed it. We take every precaution to help it grow. Why then wouldn't we do the same with our Christian walk and the seeds we cast? If you except the seed, you must nurture it. The same goes if you plant the gospel seed. In order to bare fruit, the work must be done. #letssew #letsreep #letsgrow #bethperry #sharingthegospelofchrist

Do You Have Room

When Mary and Joseph were looking for a place for her to give birth, the only place available was a barn. No one had room for them. When Jesus comes knocking at your heart, do you have room for Him? Do you let Him in? You might respond with, "I'm not worthy" or " I'm not good enough". God was ok with and planned to have His son born in a manger. He chose to abide in the heart of of David, who definitely wasn't perfect and Paul who first sought to end Jesus. He found a place in the heart of a harlet. If Jesus can use murderers, adulterers, and hors, than he can definitely find a place for you! Make room in your heart for Him today! #awayinamanger #untous #achildisborn #bethperry #sharingthegospelofchrist

Check Your Own Dirt

We all love to point our fingers from time to time. We whisper about people we're supposed to love and think bad things about fellow Christians. We assume the worst of innocent situations, without seeking answers from the people involved. If someone doesn't behave or dress exactly like us we come to the conclusion that something is up with them. When people are withdrawn or sick we automatically accuse them of not wanting to be around. Unless we walk a day in their shoes, we don't and can't know what's truly going on. It only takes a second to pick up a phone to see if someone needs you to pray for them instead of talk about them. As a family of God we're supposed to pull together not pull apart each other. There's only one person who was set to judge us and that's Jesus Himself! I don't think any of us clame to be Jesus. So before we go pointing fingers at our loved ones and fellow Christians, let's first check our own dirt. Let's clean our own sin up first before we try to clean someone else's up!
