Gleaning Isn't Easy

Published on 17 January 2024 at 22:02

Running late with my post today. I want to just say my family has been getting tried and gleaned.

We know as a family and individuals, that gleaning is needed and hard. Three and a half years ago my

husband had sepsis and almost died. During this time we lost several immediate family members.

Through Christ, prayer and faith we have made it through. As I type this our niece's husband is in the

hospital with a severe infection and other health issues. We lost our fur baby of 13 years yesterday, my

Mama is waiting for spinal surgery this month, I'm still battling my health issues, my Step-Dad is

awaiting important test results and my Sis-n-law's sister is battling cancer. I say all of this to lead

into, the ONLY way we can deal with all of this and still have peace is through Christ! Jesus is where

we draw our strength from. My niece, who hasn't had sleep in two days, finds her will to keep moving in

Jesus.

I know it's easier said than done sometimes, but trust me, there's no other way. Psalms 66:10

tells us that He tries and proves us like silver.

   James 1:2 NIV

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds

James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test

he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love Him.

God doesn't desire that His children suffer. However He does allow trials in our lives so that

we can mature as His children and grow closer to Him.

2 Corinthians 12:9 " My grace is all you need,

for my power is the greatest when you are weak."

Psalm 73:26 " My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my

portion forever."

Know that no matter what you are facing today, you can find the strength to pull through it,

as long as you turn to our heavenly Father. Seek Him today, reach out to loved ones, ask for prayer,

seek His word and trust His promises.
