Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
[11] For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Good afternoon, I thought I totally understood this scripture until I started breaking it down in the Hebrew meaning of the words. I was close, but not quite there. I knew God wasn't talking about financial security in this verse. Yet, I found more, so much more! So many people take this verse out of context. Yes, God has plans for us. This verse it says His plans are for prosperity. I'm not going to throw all the Hebrew words in here I'm going to brake this down in simple terms. Plans: God has called us all to a purpose. He has plans set out for us.
One of the plans is Prosperity. This isn't talking about riches, it's talking about prospering in our Godly works and life.
Not to harm you, this isn't God himself harming, it's a promise of protection from evil.
Well , hope, we as Christians should know that Jesus offers us unending hope.
The best, a future, we as His children (those who except Him as their Savior) have an eternal promise of a future with Him. This future is on earth and in heaven. God wants peace, joy, hope and security for us. We can trust that if we give everything to Him, He will honor His promises. He has a purpose for you! #planprosperitypurpose #eternal #bethperry #sharingthegospelofchrist #gratitude
