Happiness Is Contagious

Being happy and joyful can spread like wildfire! Have you ever noticed that when someone else laughs, we instinctly want to laugh too? When someone smiles at me, I smile back. I can be having a bad day, then be around one of my family members and my day will turn around. They can have me laughing and full of joy. Cheerfulness and happiness is good for the soul, it's healing. As Christians when we reflect joy, we give a testimony that causes others to desire a walk with Jesus.

Psalm 126:2: “We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, 'What amazing things the Lord has done for them. '”

When times are tough and happiness is hard to come by, God tells us that joy will come in the morning Psalms 30:5. When we reflect happiness, it shows that God is our peace.

At the same time a sad and broken spirit can bring you and everyone else down. It has also been known to cause health problems. As disciples when we go around negative and sad, we show a lack Jesus in our walk. If you're downtrodden all the time, it reflects a sad testimony. Sour attitudes can affect the people around us as well. Just as happiness is contagious, a bad attitude can be too.

We need to be aware of what we're putting out there. A healthy attitude makes for a happy heart and a healing soul! I want people to say my joy is contagious!
