Good morning, I'm talking to my fellow Christians this morning. We run to Jesus with all our baggage and then don't have faith in Him to take care of it. We ask Him to help or heal and then we worry if He will follow through. We seek advice on important decisions and then doubt that He will answer. We even pray for those we love and don't have faith that He will answer our prayers.
Everything is in God's timing not ours. Just because we aren't seeing an answer instantly, doesn't mean He's not working on it. Sometimes the answer is no, but it's still an answer.
Mark 9:19
[19]He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
Mark 9:23
[23]Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
Mark 9:25
[25]When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
Mark 9:26-29
[26]And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
[27]But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
[28]And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
[29]And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.
When the disciples couldn't cast out the demon it shook their faith. Jesus reminded them that for us as Christians, we need to fast and pray. Previously the disciples were able to do this , but this time it required prayer. I can understand why the disciples would wonder what happened when they failed. Imagine healing people and then all of a sudden you can't. They didn't give up though, they sought Jesus for answers. This is what we need to do.
Hebrews 11:6
[6]But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
With this we should understand that we have to continually seek Him. At the same time we should know that we must have faith and believe that Jesus is the "I Am". He rewards those who believe and have faith. All things are possible when we have faith, believe and seek Him.
