Sunday before last our Pastor gave a message on this. He called to check on my husband and we got on this subject again.
God has laid it on my heart for two days to write about this and I'm just now obeying Him. Yes, that's right, I was avoiding
doing what He wanted me to do. Well that's the entire point of this topic today.
Mordecai, Esther's cousin, found out about the order that was issued against the Jews. He wanted Esther to confront her
husband, the king, and plead on the behalf of her people. Esther was afraid because her husband didn't know she was a Jew.
Mordecai explained to her that if not her, someone else would.
You know, too many times as Christians we say, " Owe it's okay, the church has plenty of people to do that" or " everyone
already knows about Jesus, what difference will I make in the situation?". Well it's like this, My husband was a grown man
sitting in the wal-mart parking lot when he received salvation. My step Dad that helped raise me, he grew up in church. Yet he
excepted Jesus as his Savior when he was grey headed. I knew a lady that was in her late 80's when she realized, she had
been going through the motions, but was not saved!
I share these stories to say, not everyone has received the Gospel of Jesus. They may have heard it , but not received it. As
for someone else fulfilling your obligation, because you tell God no. Yes, He will send someone else if you say no. However, there
will be consequences for you rejecting Him. That's right, even though you're a child of God, if you ignore the plan you know God
has for you, it's a rejection and there will be consequences for it. Esther was warned by her cousin that if she didn't face her
fears and talk to the king, her and her father's family would parish. Now, I'm not saying that our repercussions will be the
same as hers. I am saying that God has a plan for us. He allows us free will and with that free will if we say no, well His will
in our lives isn't being fulfilled. He will have His will carried out in the situation by using someone else. You may be where you
are " for such a time as this".
