I want to start by saying, I know I'm not where I need to be in my walk with Jesus. If we're honest, none of us are. However, the most important thing is that we're striving to get there. Haggai 1:7, reminds us that God wants us to think about what we're doing.
We need to be conscience of our walk, our choices, speech, and not taking for granted what God provides. The people of Judah, worked, propagated, had food, drink and clothes; yet it wasn't enough.
We need to be greatful for what God has provided and be careful of how we manage it. As God's children, it's important to keep putting our old behaviors and attitudes behind us. I know it's not always easy for me either, but we must so we can become more like Him.
Ephesians 4:22-24
[22]That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
[23]And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
[24]And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
If you find yourself and your ways of track, just turn your eyes to our heavenly Father and He will guide you back to where you need to be.
