Good afternoon, I try to be transparent on here, so here goes. This was supposed to be my first weekend working at my new job (by myself). However Thursday night I started getting sick. So, yesterday I went to CVS minute clinic and then to the pharmacy. While waiting on my meds, some man starts honking his horn and yelling. He was yelling (over and over again) "go inside". After the pharmacist and ALL the techs come to the window and ask what's going on, I had enough and yelled out my window "I'm contagious so shut up". We didn't hear anything out of him after that. I'm not proud of myself. I let the fact that my husband and I are sick, bills are piling up and I'm missing work, allow me to get to a point where I reacted in a NON- Christ like manner.
Today I want to talk about the fact that we are born to sin nature and yes God will forgive us. However, that's not an open door for us to behave how we want. As I have talked about before, we're supposed to be striving to be like Christ. Granted we're not perfect, only Christ is. We should still make every effort to be more like Him. When we fall short, there should be regret and repentance.
Philippians 4:6-7 NIV
[6] Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. [7] And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
This life isn't easy and we will face trials. There is a way to face it though! God has prepared a way for us to stay in His will and have peace!
Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV
[8] The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
How reassuring! We are never alone! God is always with His children! #fearnot #childofgod #voiceoftruth #bethperry #sharingthegospelofchrist sharing-the-gospel-of-christ.com
