He Ran

Hi,

Luke 15:20
20 So he got up and went to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion

for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him.

What an awesome feeling to know that if you were one of His lost sheep, Jesus would run to you and rap His arms around

you upon your return. There are many thoughts and opinions on a backsliding or rebelling Christian. Now Y'all know my feelings

on fruit of the spirit, I have shared scripture on it before. However, just because a Child of God isn't currently showing fruit,

doesn't prove a lack of salvation. If your child misbehaves, does it make him/her any less yours? No It doesn't! I am a child of God

and I am going to sin, I am going to make mistakes. This doesn't remove me from Him. I have been a backslider before. I have

turned my back on God, my church and family. I was in a really bad place in my life. Thankfully, Jesus was waiting on me with

open arms. It took me a while to realize that He had forgiven me. I am His child, I am usable, I am forgiven and I am healed. I will

break again, I must break to become like Jesus. I have a grateful heart knowing that the Potter will always fix the clay, I just

have to be willing.

1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
Come home to Jesus, He is waiting to wipe your tears away. Leave the fear and the anger behind. Let Him make you hole
again. I sit here as a repentant child. Thinking of how much Jesus loves me and how far He has brought me. I don't deserve Him
and there's nothing I can ever do to earn His love. Jesus just gives it freely.
