Good evening,
Matthew 4:19
[19]And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.
I come to you with a humble heart and soar toes. Let me explain. Life has dealt my husband and I a lot of tough blows. During these times in life it's easy for all of us to get distracted and be lazy about God's mission for each of us. I'm guilty of that. I love the Lord with all my heart. I don't know what I would do without Him, yet I'm a sloth sometimes. Jesus used my Pastor today, I got my toes stepped on (hence soar toes). I was reminded that if we're not actively sharing God's Gospel with others, then we're not fulfilling our obligation. That's right we have an obligation.
On my heart is , what we teach the children in our lives and the youth. You've heard the saying " Give a man a fish and He eats for one day. Teach a man to fish and he can eat for a lifetime."
I ask you, what do you think we give a lost soul when we teach them about God? We teach our children and youth how to fish, play sports, cook and be a part of a working society. All of this is good, but what's even better is if we teach them how to be fishers of men!
If we don't lead by example and show the next generation... Who will lead the generation after them to Christ? Teach them... Show them... Lead them!
